Create 1000 more factory tones from web M1000 tones. A dump of these is included with the version update file.7)Release new version of the manual.Ver 1.00Build 1. Status - Released August2018 - CPU Prog v100 Boot v100 (CPU & VB 1&2)1)Initial ReleaseNote - Dual & Triple Keymodes do not have a legato mode in the intial release. This has proved very complex and rather than hold up the release this will be fixed in the next version release.Note - The factory sounds have been sourced from a number of different sources. Due to them being converted to suit the new file layout they may not sound exactly as they used to. When we get time we will go through them more carefully and edit bad or none sounding tones out and make some new ones featuring the new kiwi-1000 features. If you have any cool patches with cool names you would like to have included in the factory set do send us a sysex dump with credit info included so we can check them out and maybe make you famous. Currently tones 000-499 have been sourced from M1000 dumps and 500-999 from various Roland 8P & SJX & Kiwi-8P & 106 dumps.Kiwi8P Upgrade Software Release NotesVer 1.50Build 1. Status - Released Nov2018 - CPU Prog v150 Boot v130e - VB Prog v150 Boot v120 (CPU & VB 1&2)1)Fix bugs in sending and receiving Tone & Seq Dumps. Note - you should redo any dumps you have saved as they will not restore correctly2)Speed up voice board internal processing. It was possible to overload the VB internal comms if sending a lot of data.3)Speed up Bend response time.4)Remove voice sounding dots from display. This was messing with the display from time to time.Ver 1.40Build 1. Status - Released May2018 - CPU Prog v140 Boot v130e - VB Prog v140 Boot v120 (CPU & VB 1&2)1)Rewrite Note assign logic to simplify and speed up processing. This has resulted in the Polychain parameter being removed. If enough people want this feature we will look at rewriting it in a future release.2)Fix small voice board detune bug. Detune setting was not always being applied correctly to the note output.3)Rework all keying modes to fix some behaviour problems under certain conditions3)Remap key touch velocity for better dynamics4)Add self tuning function to improve Saw waveform on voice board. This was sounding a bit thin on some 8Ps.5)Remove the internal factory programs. We have released 5 Groups of tones which are included with the update for easy loading.6)Fix ARP Mode & Range not displaying correctly7)Fix Seq not always starting immediately it is selected. This was more apparent when a Tone had a Seq automatically starting.8)Fix bug in Cart import. This will import starting at the currently selected Tone so make sure you have selected a blank bank before importing. The CART import will now also import and tones held in the internal RAM. Cart tones go to 1:1-4:8 and RAM tones go from 5:1-8:8.9)The Kiwi8P will now accept MKS70/JX-10 Tone dumps for import. This will allow the import of the large library of Tones that are on the web. These will import with the tone number that is stored in the dump into the currently selected group. This will overwrite the tone(s) in those positions. There are some caveats when doing this as ranges are not always the same and these are detailed in the manual under Importing.10)Dump All Tones is being changed to only dump the currently selected Group of 64 tones. The Dump All is only useful for backing up the synth and not very useful for loading or moving just one group of 64 tones. The resulting 72k file from a dump all is a bit unwieldy as well and will not work with some of the cheaper midi interfaces. Now the Group number in the dump is ignored and the tone(s) will always save to the currently selected Group.Ver 1.30Build 1. Status - Released Jan2018 - CPU Prog v130 Boot v120 - VB Prog v120 Boot v110 (CPU 1&2)1)Enable CART IMPORT on the parameter edit map (637). The 32 tones stored on the CART will import to the currently selected group so make sure you select an empty one.2)The Kiwi8P will now accept Roland JX-8P format tone dumps. These will import with the tone number that is stored in the dump into the currently selected group. This will overwrite the tone(s) in those positions.3)The Kiwi8P will now accept Roland JX-8P format tone parameter edit commands.4)Some redundant sysex has been removedVer 1.20Build 6. Status - Released Nov2016 - Boot v100 - Prog v100 (1&2)1)Initial ReleaseNote - LFO Sync and Env Key follow have proved to be rather more challenging than envisaged so these will be in a future release so as to not hold up the upgrade release.Note - The factory sounds have been sourced from a number of different JX-8P dumps and include most of the original & optional patches that were available when the JX-8P was released. There are a number of duplicates because of this. Due to them being converted to suit the new file layout they may not sound exactly as they used to. When we get time we will go through them more carefully and edit these duplicates out and make some new ones featuring the new kiwi-8P features. If you have any cool patches with cool names you would like to have included in the factory set do send us a sysex dump with credit info included so we can check them out and maybe make you famous.Kiwi106 Upgrade Software Release NotesVer 2.04Build 4. Feb2011 There are a few known problems which are:-1)The Portamento is disabled for the moment. There is some pretty complex maths involved in this and it is not behaving. 2)The Sequencer only works in Gate mode for the moment. Play along envs also have issues.3)In Arpeggiator mode the Release stage of the envelopes are not working.4)Sequencer editing has not been written. This is probably all going to change anyway as all the ideas for a better sequencer system are implemented.5)No testing has been done on the NPRN midi commands and only limited testing on the sysex. The MidiCC works well so use this for the moment.

NRPN support (max 4096 bit) has been added for controlling the Kiwisix and other NRPN controlled synths. Pot and slider sampling has been rewritten to make them smoother and removed the need for the extra jump to start them once locked. They still lock to stop pot jitter clogging the midi but this is now invisible and does not effect pot control. All the synth tables have been further compressed to free up memory for further tables. A new patch had been added for the MKS-30 JH Midi Mod. The PG-200 & PG-800 tables have been removed from this release and all future releases for technical reasons. If you want to use the PG-200 or PG-800 patches use version 5.0. PEs with s/n 001404 or higher cannot run version 5.0 or lower.Ver 5.0Nov2012 Changes to the DW8000 patch.
